Suicide Prevention Tools Added To Facebook Live, Messenger 

Facebook is integrating its suicide prevention tools into Facebook Live and Messenger, the Menlo Park-based social media giant announced on Wednesday. The company’s latest attempt to prevent suicides also entails a streamlined process of reporting suicide attempts. Apart from being easier, the process is assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, Facebook revealed. The suicide prevention functionality integrated into Messenger consists of a chat platform for contacting crisis support groups and mental health organizations directly through the app.
